Rammstein's mind-blowing pyrotechnics through the years
We celebrate the pyromaniacs
Last updated 9th Jul 2019
As anyone who bore witness to Rammstein’s epic Milton Keynes Stadium show will attest, the German industrial metallers’ current pyro production is nothing short of mind-blowing and arguably the most extravagant in the history of rock music.
From their embryonic days when they played smaller stages, Rammstein have been synonymous with pyrotechnics, and their fiery stage production somehow manages to up the ante on every tour.
With more European shows scheduled for the summer of 2020 – including Belfast Boucher Road Playing Field on Wednesday 17th June and at least one other UK date to be announced – Kerrang! Radio takes a look at the evolution of Rammstein’s pyrotechnics from 1996 through to present day.

Rammstein's frontman and resident pyromaniac, Till Lindemann, wore a flaming silver coat at the band's early shows. Here he is on stage in Berlin in 1996.

Rammstein's trademark flamethrowers have also been a mainstay of their live shows for decades. Here's Till Lindemann at Australia's Big Day Out Festival in 2001.
