Rammstein are recording new music in the studio
The best news all day
German industrial metal titans Rammstein have confirmed they’re in the studio laying down new material.
The band surprised fans on Saturday by posting four photos from the recording studio on social media along the caption ‘Work in progress #Rammstein’.
No further details have been revealed, however it’s assumed that Rammstein are recording the long-awaited follow-up to 2009’s ‘Liebe ist für alle da.’
Rammstein’s last musical morsel from the studio was standalone track ‘Mein Land’ in November 2011, which featured on their greatest hits album ‘Made in Germany 1995–2011’.
In an interview promoting their concert film ‘Rammstein Paris’ in March last year, guitarists Richard Kruspe and Paul Landers confirmed they had dozens of songs “almost finished” for the long-player.
Kruspe told Bucksttabu: “We have 35 new songs almost finished, so it’s worth the wait.”
Pushed as to when the material might see the light of day, Kruspe sadly dodged the question: “That is always the big question!”
Landers chipped in: “There’s a great chance of an excellent album – we already have six very good songs.”
Rammstein’s last two UK shows were headlining Download Festival in 2016 and 2013 respectively. Their last headline tour took place more than six years ago in February and March 2012.
