Rage Against The Machine announce 2020 reunion tour
Including UK and Ireland festival slots
The recently reunited Rage Against The Machine will play an epic 40-date reunion tour in summer 2020.
Rage Against The Machine reformed in November 2019 when the politically charged rockers confirmed five headline shows including Coachella Festival in California in April.
Last night (10th February), Tim Commerford, Zack de la Rocha, Tom Morello and Brad Wilk unveiled full details of their 40-date transatlantic reunion trek.
It opens with a sprawling North American leg that kicks off at El Paso Don Haskins Center in Texas on 26th March and concludes with two nights at New York’s Madison Square Garden on 10th and 11th August.
Just over two weeks later, Rage Against The Machine hit the UK for headline slots at Leeds Festival on Friday 28th August and Reading Festival on Sunday 30th August.
In a France festival exclusive, on Tuesday 1st September the band headline Rock en Seine festival in Paris before they play Electric Picnic in Ireland on Friday 4th September.
Following this, Rage Against The Machine headline Lollapalooza Berlin on Sunday 6th September and then play arena shows in Prague, Krakow and Vienna.
Rage Against The Machine have remained inactive since 2011 and their last live show took place at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in July of that year.
The band’s last UK show was their headline slot at Download Festival 2010, which took place six days after their free London Finsbury Park gig that celebrated ‘Killing in the Name’ beating The X Factor to the 2009 Christmas number one.
Tom Morello, Brad Wilks and Tim Commerford have all been active in recent years with their Prophets of Rage supergroup alongside Chuck D from Public Enemy and B-Real of Cypress Hill.
Following Rage Against The Machine’s reunion announcement last autumn, Prophets of Rage officially folded.
