Queens of the Stone Age To Record Seventh Album This Year
Josh Homme says they have "more than enough" songs
Queens of the Stone Age are planning to start work on the follow-up to the critically lauded ‘… Like Clockwork’ this year!
Asked by Rolling Stone whether they’re planning to commence work on the seventh album any time soon, Josh Homme said: "Absolutely. We have more than enough songs.
"We're booked 'til September, but after that we plan to jump in the studio and get going."
The rock icon explained that he’s in his element when he’s recording songs, continuing: "When it's time to make music, that's about getting lost for me.
“To be a control freak is not half as good as being a freak who's casually in control. You're feeling around in the dark for something that feels good. As long as you're not in an orgy, that can be an amazing moment."
Queens of the Stone Age tour North America this winter before heading to Australia & New Zealand in March and Europe this summer. Unfortunately there are no UK dates at the present time.
One of the most critically revered rock records of this decade, ‘… Like Clockwork’ stormed in at number two on the album chart when it was released last June.
