Queens of the Stone Age cancel festival appearance due to injury
The band release a short statement
Queens of the Stone Age have axed their show at Outside Lands festival later this month due to an unspecified injury within the band.
The rockers were due to play the tenth anniversary event at Golden Gate Park, San Francisco on Saturday 12th August but have now pulled out.
The festival tweeted: “Due to injury, Queens of the Stone Age's previously announced appearance August 12 at Outside Lands has been cancelled.”
Queens of the Stone Age added: “Queens apologise for any inconvenience & we look forward to returning to the Bay Area at a later date.”
Other rock bands on the hyper-eclectic Outside Lands line-up include Metallica, Royal Blood, and The Who.
Boasting the lead single ‘The Way You Used to Do’, QOTSA release their Mark Ronson produced seventh studio album ‘Villains’ on Friday 25th August.
The band hit the UK this November playing a total of four shows. Tickets are still on sale for their London SSE Arena Wembley and Manchester Arena shows from Kerrang! Radio Tickets.
