With plenty of live punk, rock and metal music heading to the UK this year, get ready for a plethora of mosh pits and soaring guitar solos. Kerrang! Radio takes a look at the punk, rock and metal tours that will be tearing up stages across the UK in 2024 and 2025, as well as epic festivals.

From seasoned veterans returning to the stage, such as Green Day and Foo Fighters, to punk-rockers You Me At Six's farewell tour, 2024 and beyond promises a potent dose of mosh-worthy anthems that'll have you singing along at the top of your lungs.

Punk, rock and metal tours coming to the UK in 2024 and 2025:

Foo Fighters - June

Beginning at Manchester Emirates Old Trafford on Thursday 13th June 2024, the almighty Foo Fighters are making their return to the UK with a string of shows, seeing them perform through Glasgow, London and Cardiff, before finishing at Birmingham Villa Park on Thursday 27th. They will be joined by an alternating support of Wet Leg, Courtney Barnett, Chroma, Himalayas, Honeyblood, Hot Milk, and Shame on the UK trek.

Green Day - June

American rockers Green Day are completing the UK & Ireland leg of 'The Saviors Tour' this June 2024, celebrating the 20th anniversary of 'American Idiot' and the 30th anniversary of 'Dookie' - both of which they will perform in full on the tour. Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool kicked off the five-date UK & Ireland tour at Manchester Emirates Old Trafford on Friday 21st June 2024, with dates continuing up to Saturday 29th.

Avril Lavigne - June

The legendary Avril Lavgine will be performing three concerts in the UK in 2024. Starting with a show at the inaugural TK Maxx presents Bedford Summer Sessions at Bedford Park, on Saturday 29th June 2024, Avril will then play two gigs in Cardiff Castle and Manchester Castlefield Bowl, in early July, with special guests at both concerts coming in the form of her fellow Canadian purveyors of pop punk, Simple Plan.

AC/DC - July

Coinciding with their 50th anniversary, AC/DC will perform two colossal concerts at London's Wembley Stadium this summer. As part of 'The Power Up Tour', named after the band's chart-topping 2020 album 'PWR UP', the huge shows will take place on Wednesday 3rd and Sunday 7th July 2024 - marking the first time the band have performed in the UK in more than eight years. New York rockers The Pretty Reckless will play support at all European dates.

KoRn - August

For the first time in seven years, alt-metal pioneers KoRn will return to London to perform! In what will be their biggest UK headline show to date, the band will perform at London's Gunnersbury Park on Sunday 11th August.

Sex Pistols and Frank Carter

Punk legends the Sex Pistols will be reuniting, though without John Lydon, for two very special concerts this summer on 13th and 14th August 2024 - alongside livewire punk vocalist Frank Carter. The gigs will raise vital funds for historic West London venue, Bush Hall, where both 400-capacity shows will take place.

Alice Cooper - October

For the first time since 2022, rock pioneer and Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Alice Cooper will be performing in the UK! Bringing his 'Too Close For Comfort Tour' across the pond in October 2024. Alice and his award-winning band will begin the string of shows in Glasgow on Monday 14th October, before heading to arenas in Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds, then finishing with two shows at London's Eventim Apollo on Sunday 20th and Monday 21st.

Skindred - October

Newport reggae metallers Skindred announced a fresh headline tour for October and November 2024. Titled the 'Smile (Again) UK Tour', Benji Webbe, Daniel Pugsley, Mikey Demus and Arya Goggin will play a total on nine shows in England and Scotland. The trek will open at Hull University on Friday 18th October 2024, and visit Glasgow, Sunderland, Holmfirth, Liverpool, Leicester, Portsmouth and Bexhill before culminating at Oxford O2 Academy on Saturday 2nd November.

Dream Theater - October

Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the band, the reunited 'classic line-up' of Dream Theater will be embarking on European tour dates - including a UK show! The tour, titled 'An Evening With Dream Theater', will start at the O2 in London, on 20th October 2024, serving as the only UK date.

Sum 41 - October

Part of the band's final world tour, titled 'Tour of the Setting Sum', Sum 41 are set to play six huge arena shows in the UK this October. With special guests The Bronx at all dates, the tour will open at Leeds First Direct Arena on Saturday 26th October, with them then playing Glasgow, Manchester, Nottingham and London before concluding at Cardiff Utilita Arena on Saturday 2nd November 2024.

Kris Barras Band - November

In association with Kerrang! Radio, Kris Barras Band will embark on a fresh headline UK tour throughout November and December 2024. With support at all eight dates coming from Norse-inspired Scottish rockers North Atlas, and Las Vegas alt-rockers The Nocturnal Affair, the tour will begin at Brighton The Arch on Wednesday 6th November, with them playing in Bury, Leicester, Oxford, Chester, Holmfirth and Lincoln before closing at Exeter The Phoenix on Sunday 1st December.

Jimmy Eat World - November

This autumn 2024, 'In The Middle' icons Jimmy Eat World will embark on a short run of UK tour dates. Part of a seven-date European tour, the Arizona rockers will play Glasgow O2 Academy on Wednesday 13th November 2024, before performing at Manchester O2 Victoria Warehouse on Thursday 14th, and London Alexandra Palace on Friday 15th.

Within Temptation - November

November 2024 will see Dutch symphonic metallers Within Temptation perform their headline UK arena tour, as part of a much larger European trek. The UK leg of the tour will open at Cardiff Utilita Arena on Friday 15th November, and visit London Wembley Arena, Nottingham Motorpoint Arena and Leeds First Direct Arena.

Anthrax, Kreator and Testament - November

Anthrax and Kreator will be joining forces in November 2024 for a co-headline UK and Ireland tour, joined by their fellow thrash veterans Testament. The co-headline tour is set to start at Manchester O2 Apollo on Thursday 21st November, with the force then playing Wolverhampton Civic Hall, London Eventim Apollo and Dublin 3Arena before concluding at Glasgow OVO Hydro on Wednesday 27th November.

Slipknot - December

Iowan masked metallers Slipknot will head on their UK tour in December 2024, with an extra date being added to the trek due to phenomenal demand. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of their seminal debut album 'Slipknot', the tour begins in Leeds on Saturday 14th December, travelling through Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham, before playing two shows in London on 20th and 21st.

Bullet For My Valentine and Trivium - January 2025

Welsh metal titans Bullet For My Valentine and Orlando metal heroes Trivium will be joining forces in 2025 for a co-headline UK arena tour. Titled 'The Poisoned Ascendancy UK Tour', the string of shows will begin at Cardiff Utilita Arena on Sunday 26th January 2025, visiting Glasgow OVO Hydro, Manchester Co-Op Live and Birmingham Utilita Arena before concluding at London the O2 on Saturday 1st February.

Pantera - February 2025

Pantera will head on their first UK & Ireland tour in 25 years in 2025 - featuring original members, vocalist Philip H. Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown, alongside guitarist Zakk Wylde and drummer Charlie Benante. The tour, in early 2025, opens Glasgow OVO Hydro on Tuesday 18th February 2025, with Pantera then visiting Leeds First Direct Arena, Dublin 3Arena, and Birmingham BP Pulse Live before culminating at London OVO Arena Wembley on Tuesday 25th February 2025.

You Me At Six - March 2025

Following the news that after two glorious decades together, they would be splitting, You Me At Six will be embarking on their farewell tour in 2025. Their final tour - 'The Final Nights of Six Tour' - will take place throughout March and April 2025, opening at Dublin 3Olympia on Friday 7th March 2025, and concluding with their last-ever show at London OVO Arena Wembley on Friday 4th April 2025.

Twenty One Pilots - May 2025

May 2025 will see Twenty One Pilots complete their seven-date UK & Ireland arena tour, celebrating Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun's latest studio album 'Clancy'. Part of the duo's multi-year global headline 'The Clancy World Tour', Twenty One Pilots play arena dates in Glasgow, Birmingham, Belfast, Dublin, and Manchester before culminating with two shows at The O2 in London, from 5th-14th May 2025.
