Prophets of Rage unleash new song
Listen to "a solid chop in a dulled world of mindless pop"
A month after they exploded onto the scene with an ultra-intimate live show, Prophets of Rage have dropped their first new material.
Entitled 'Prophets of Rage' the new single was revealed mere hours before the band staged a surprise rooftop show in the deprived Skid Row neighbourhood of LA.
In a post on the band's Facebook page, RATM drummer Brad Wilk wrote: "Prophets of Rage” is a song/band made for the countless people who feel they no longer have a voice in a system that only caters to a select few. This song is a solid chop in a dulled world of mindless pop."
Listen to the incendiary 'Prophets of Rage' here:
Timing their release with the start of the Republican National Convention, where nylon-headed lizard-king Donald Trump will be formally anointed as the party's presidential nominee, Prophets of Rage performed a typically raucous show atop a building in LA.
The band have also revealed that they will be playing at the End Poverty Now rally, mere minutes from the convention centre where the Republican National Convention is taking place. Based on Rage's previous in this area, we wouldn't count against there being some extra-curricular "shennanigans". Watch this space...
The supergroup, consisting of Tom Morello, Brad Wilks and Tim Commerford from RATM, Chuck D from Public Enemy and B-Real of Cypress Hill first performed at the legendary Whiskey at the start of June.
