PHOTOS: Green Day hang out with puppies at Belfast animal sanctuary
Bless them
As if we couldn’t possibly love them more, Green Day visited an animal sanctuary in Belfast this week.
Hours before they took to the stage at Belsonic Festival in the city on Wednesday night (28th June), Billie Joe, Mike and Tré took time out to visit the Assisi Animal Sanctuary in Bangor along with support act Rancid.
Founded 20 years ago, the sanctuary is Northern Ireland’s biggest animal welfare charity and provides shelter for up to 200 companion animals including dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, rabbits and guinea pigs.
Belsonic shared a series of photos of Green Day and Rancid’s visit on Facebook, which you can fawn over right here:
Following their rapturously received shows in Belfast and Dublin this week, Green Day are taking to British Summer Time in London’s Hyde Park tomorrow night (1st July).
They then play Bellahouston Park in Glasgow next Tuesday (4th July). Tickets to both shows are on sale from Kerrang! Radio Tickets now.
