Papa Roach have surprise released the music video for ‘Who Do You Trust?’ from their upcoming and as-yet-untitled tenth studio album.
With their song ‘Renegades’ also streaming online from today (5th October), the hilarious ‘Who Do You Trust?’ video sees singer Jacoby Shaddix get transformed in 1980s news anchor man and bassist Tobin Esperance play a windswept weather reporter.
In keeping with the retrogressive eighties theme, the video also features footage of the band blasting out the blistering anthem in grainy VHS quality.
Commenting on the track, Jacoby Shaddix says: “This song is a statement of engagement - In this day and age, who do you trust?
“The message of the song is to think for yourself and to trust in yourself, and the imagery of the song matches that. It’s the sea of information, all of if slightly out of focus - and you’re left floating in trying to decide for yourself. Who do you trust?"
Papa Roach’s upcoming tenth album is the follow-up to May 2017’s ‘Crooked Teeth’, which spawned the singles ‘Help’, ‘American Dreams’ and ‘Born For Greatness’.
The Vacaville, California rockers kick off a ten-date North American tour in Richmond tonight (5th October) and also play Japan and South Korea in the run-up to Christmas.
The band will also be joining Shinedown and Asking Alexandria on the 2019 North American leg of the Attention! Attention! World Tour next February and March.
Fingers crossed there will be some UK dates in the pipeline soon!
