Nirvana respond to Kurt Cobain conspiracy theory: "It’s true, he’s alive"
A sarcastic statement is released on Facebook
The admin of Nirvana’s official Facebook page have poked fun at a ridiculous conspiracy theory claiming that Kurt Cobain is alive and well.
Over the weekend, conspiracy theorists started sharing a video of Peruvian singer Ramiro Saavedra performing Come As You Are in 2012 and noted his apparent striking resemblance and musical likeness to Kurt.
Although musically Saavedra is pretty close, the theorists overlooked the fact that Saavedra only vaguely looks like Kurt. Oh, and he plays the guitar with his right hand.

In response to the daft theory, Nirvana’s Facebook team have released an ultra-sarcastic statement.
“It is true, Kurt is alive,” they joked. “He needed time to learn to play the guitar with his right hand. Finding left-handed guitars is not easy. We are so happy to have him back and forgive him for all of the sadness that we have held so deeply in our hearts.”
After hundreds of fans fired vitriol at the Nirvana admin team accusing them of things like “spitting on the grave of Kurt”, they posted another statement.
“I thought people like conspiracy theories. I can't do anything right!,” they wrote.
With comments continuing to flood in, the admin also took time to shut down a predictable 'Courtney Love killed Kurt' comment:
