New Found Glory Accuse One Direction of Reworking 'It's Not Your Fault'

New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert has accused One Direction of “reworking” the distinctive piano line from their 2006 song ‘It’s Not Your Fault’.

Noticing the apparent similarities between his band’s track and 1D’s current single ‘Steal My Girl’, Chad took to Twitter to take a cheeky swipe at the inescapable boy band. He wrote:

Chad’s girlfriend, Paramore’s Hayley Williams, also highlighted the parallels between the two songs with a humorous tweet:

After being bombarded with messages of abuse from One Direction’s army of hyper-protective fans, Chad tweeted: “All you One D'z nuts fans. Second period is starting. Get to class and stop tweeting me.It's not their fault so please stop your tweeting now.”

He added: “Guys I'm just sad cause "you don't know you're beautiful" meant so much to me. I just don't want them to grow up. so I'm sorry.”
