Metallica Sell Their Soles
They're launching their own Vans shoes
Metallica have joined forces with Vans to launch their own signature collection shoe line.
Each of the four band members has created their own unique design based on the classic Vans model.
Lars Ulrich’s laceless pair features a print taken from “the diamond plate pattern on his snare drum” and is finished with a “Dirty Donny Lars character on the inside heel.”
Frontman James Hetfield’s jet-black ankle boots feature “hex-bolt eyelets” and his classic, self-drawn skull and crossbones logo.
Kirk Hammett’s slip-on Vans are made from hemp and with the heel decorated by a guitar pick inspired by his Ouija guitar.
Pick of the bunch is Robert Trujillo’s skater Vans with Aztec calendar artwork, designed by his wife Chloe, which is carved in one of his bass guitars.
