Metallica have announced the sprawling European leg of their WorldWired Tour.
Kicking off in Amsterdam in September and wrapping up in Helsinki in May 2018, the metal legends’ epic tour includes five UK dates this autumn that calls in at the following arenas:
OCTOBER 2017
London O2 Arena – Sun 22nd
London O2 Arena – Tue 24th
Glasgow SSE Hydro – Thu 26th
Manchester Arena – Sat 28th
Birmingham Genting Arena – Mon 30th
Tickets go on sale from Kerrang! Radio Tickets at 9am on Friday 24th March. Support at all shows comes from Norwegian heavy metal bastions Kvelertak.
Just like on their North American tour, every ticket purchased comes complete with your choice of a standard physical or standard digital copy of ‘Hardwired… To Self Destruct.’ Ticket buyers will receive details of how to redeem their free album via email.
Metallica have also confirmed that no additional dates will be added to the European tour so the above five dates will be their only UK shows.
There will be a variety of ticket packages available, as the band explain: “As fans first got a glimpse of in Copenhagen and Mexico, the enhanced experience options designed to take your Metalli-night to the next level are back.
“Once again we have partnered with the team that makes it all happen at CID Entertainment to offer three options of special enhanced experiences, including premium tickets and amenities ranging from early access to the venue and the 'Memory Remains' exhibit of memorabilia to meeting some of us(!).”
The October gigs at Metallica’s first shows on UK soil since their ridiculously intimate Hardwired… To Self-Destruct launch show at London’s House of Vans last November. The band's last full arena tour took place way back in February and March 2009 as part of the World Magnetic tour.
