Bloodstock has confirmed its second headliner for this year’s metal extravaganza.

Bringing the Ronnie James Dio stage to an emphatic close on Sunday 13th August are the legendary Megadeth - three years on from their last bill-topping performance there.

Lynchpin Dave Mustaine enthuses: “We kick off 2017 by announcing we'll be headlining Sunday night at Bloodstock, one of my favourite, purely metal, British festivals!

“Megadeth had a blast last time and I can't wait to bring the Dystopia World Tour to Bloodstock this Summer. See ya at Catton Park in August!"

Megadeth join an already impressive Bloodstock line-up that boasts Friday night bill-toppers Amon Amarth plus Blind Guardian, Testament, Obituary, Skindred, Municipal Waste, Annihilator, Brujeria, Whitechapel, Possessed, Hell and Decapitated.

Taking place at Catton Park in Derbyshire on Thursday 10th to Sunday 13th August 2017, tickets to Bloodstock are on sale from Kerrang! Radio Tickets now.
