MCR's Mikey Way At Centre Of Cheating Scandal
The My Chemical Romance army go crazy
My Chemical Romance bassist Mikey Way has reportedly cheated on his wife with a teenage model.
The founding MCR member married his wife Alicia Simmons on 8th March 2007 backstage at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas before the band's gig that very night. Now it seems their six-year marriage is on the rocks.
Various gossip sites have linked through to ‘19-year-old model’ Sarah’s Instagram page, which contains numerous photos of herself and Mikey in various smoochy poses for the whole world to see. Some images depict Sarah wearing an engagement ring.
Adding fuel to the rumours, Alicia Way took to Twitter to write on Saturday night: “devastated… (but I’ll be back). xo.” Her account has now been set to private.
In a series of Tweets that have since been deleted, Gerard Way’s wife Lindsey also wrote: “Disgusted. I can only assume you wanted people to know… sloppy. Have you no shame????”
She also sent a supportive Tweet to Alicia, writing: “I love you. You are apart (sic) of my family and nothing will ever change that.”
In a cheeky dig at his former My Chemical Romance bandmate, drummer Bob Byrar has also sent this tweet:
The fifth and final instalment of My Chemical Romance’s ‘Conventional Weapons’ singles series, containing tracks ‘Surrender The Night’ and ‘Burn Bright’ is released on 5th February.
