Mastodon, QOTSA, At The Drive-In supergroup Gone Is Gone announce debut album

After releasing their eponymous EP to critical acclaim back in July, Mastodon, QOTSA, At The Drive-In supergroup Gone Is Gone have announced full details of their debut album.
Titled ‘Echolocation’, the 12-track record will be released via Rise Records on 6th January 2017.
Vocalist/bassist Troy Sanders (Mastodon), guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen (QOTSA), drummer Tony Hajjar (At The Drive-In) and multi-instrumentalist/composer Mike Zarin recorded the album at Los Angeles’ Sencit Studios with Ken Andrews.

Explaining how their sound has evolved between the EP and album, Mike Zarin says: “We were able to expand on ideas that were explored early on and really build on them.
“By the time we got to working on the album, everything had clicked and we knew ‘this is what this is going to be.’ And that made a huge difference.”
