Mastodon Hard At Work On Album No.6
The band post a brief statement from the recording studio
Mastodon have revealed they’re hard at work on the follow-up to their metal masterpiece ‘The Hunter’.
In a brief post to their 617,000 fans on Facebook, the band wrote:
“For those of you who are interested, Yes we have been VERY busy writing and putting songs together for the next studio MASTODON album, we are down at our space hammering out riffs that can be friends and working our fingers to the bone to put out another great album. thank you to all our loyal fans!!!!”
Since forming in Atlanta, Georgia in 2000, Mastodon have released five critically lauded albums leading many to regard them as the finest metal band of their generation.
September 2011’s ‘The Hunter’ cracked the Top 20 in the UK and was heralded as the greatest record of the year by Kerrang! Magazine.
