Mallavora unleash new song 'It's Not Enough' and announce EP and launch show

Bristol alt-metal livewires Mallavora have unleashed their fiery new single ‘It’s Not Enough’, and they’ve announced details of their new EP ‘ECHOES’ and a very special launch show.

Produced by Skindred axeman Mikey Demus and mixed by Lewis Johns (Rolo Tomassi, Pupil Slicer, Palm Reader), ‘ECHOES’ was recorded at The Marshall Studios and engineered by Adam Beer and Oliver Brightman.

The gloriously heavy new EP comes out on 20th November 2024 via Marshall Records, and, to celebrate its release, Mallavora will play a launch show at Signature Brew in Haggerston, London on the very same day.

Mallavora were crowned the winners of Kerrang! Radio’s The Deal earlier this year, which landed them the EP deal with Marshall and also a coveted slot on The Avalanche Stage at Download Festival back in June.

Commenting on hard-hitting lead single ‘It’s Not Enough’, which tackles themes of anxiety, the illusion of control and the reality of chronic illness, Mallavora vocalist Jessica Douek says: “In this track, I touch on a recurring nightmare I had when I was younger.

“I was endlessly falling in slow motion and had the constant lurch in my stomach from the ground being wiped out from underneath me.”

Reflecting on recording the EP, guitarist Larry Sobieraj enthuses: "Creating this EP was an absolute dream experience. Working with Mikey Demus was a real 'pinch me' moment for us since Skindred has inspired us for so many years.

“Recording at The Marshall Studio was a real privilege. It’s a magical place; you can feel the amazing history of music when you walk through the door."

"We’d been aware of Lewis’ work for a while and were always impressed by the energy he brings to his mixes,” adds vocalist Jessica Douek.

“We knew we wanted him to mix our EP, and it’s every bit as energetic, aggressive, and huge as we had hoped for. This EP is undoubtedly the best-sounding music we’ve ever created."
