Malcolm Young's son on Axl Rose replacing Brian Johnson in AC/DC: "It's true"
"He can and he will" stand in for Johnson
Malcolm Young’s son Ross has apparently confirmed that Axl Rose will be standing in for Brian Johnson in AC/DC.
As previously reported, Atlanta Radio 100.5 DJ Jason Bailey made the shock claim that the divisive Guns N Roses frontman is replacing Johnson on all ten rescheduled US dates this year.
According to Alternative Nation, 20-year-old Ross Malcolm Young later shared an article about Axl Rose on his public Facebook page and when someone accused him of “opening a can of worms”, he responded: “It’s true.”
When another questioned Rose’s credentials for singing for AC/DC, as AN reports, Ross simply said: “He can and he will.”
Ross has since deleted the posts, however, Alternative Nation have taken a screen grab of the share that you can see here.
AC/DC and Axl Rose have so far remained tight-lipped about the rumours abounding online and it’s currently unclear whether AC/DC’s dates in Manchester and London this summer will be impacted.
Johnson was told by doctors earlier this month that he risks permanently losing his hearing if he continues to tour.
Adding fuel to the rumour mill, AC/DC said they were rescheduling their ten North American dates and “likely with a guest singer.”
We'll wait with baited breath for 100% confirmation...
