Royal Blood have unleashed a brand spanking new song called ‘Where Are You Now?’

Thankfully not a cover of the Justin Bieber track of the same name, ‘Where Are You Now?’ is a glorious stomper that wears its glam and classic rock influences proudly on its sleeve.

Unadulterated aural dynamite, the track was written especially for HBO show Vinyl which features Boardwalk Empire star Bobby Cannavale as 1970s record executive Richie Finestra.

Created by Mick Jagger alongside Martin Scorsese, Rich Cohen and Terence Winter, Jagger’s son James as Kip Stevens, the lead singer of a punk band called Nasty Bits.

Speaking to Noisey, Royal Blood said they were inspired by the show’s main character: “Hearing Richie Finestra talk about the first time you heard a song that made your hairs on the back of your neck stand up or made you wanna dance or kick someone’s arse.

“I just wanted to write a song that gave me that sort of buzz.”

Iggy Pop, Alison Mosshart and Julian Casablancas have also recorded songs for the show.
