Nine Inch Nails have premiered their second new song in less than a week.

A slow-building, brooding and beautiful musical opus, ‘This Isn’t The Place’ bears the indelible musical imprint of lynchpin Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross and whets the appetite nicely ahead of the release of five-track EP ‘Add Violence’ on Friday (21st July).

Just like the electro-tinged ‘Less Than’, which was unleashed last Thursday, ‘This Isn’t The Place’ ends abruptly leaving the listener wanting more.

Following the release of ‘Not The Actual Events’ back in 2016, ‘Add Violence’ is the second EP in a trilogy from Nine Inch Nails.

The accompanying press blurb reads: “Add Violence finds Nine Inch Nails becoming more accessible and impenetrable at the same time. The sonic palette expands significantly from Not The Actual Events, incorporating elements of beauty into the dark dissonance.

"The narrative arc linking the three records begins to emerge through the disassociated lyrics and the provocative and clue-filled cover artwork and accompanying physical component available exclusively through the Nine Inch Nails store.”

Nine Inch Nails play three dates in the US this summer. They haven’t graced our shores since their arena tour in the spring of 2014.

The ‘Add Violence’ track-listing is as follows:

1) Less Than

2) The Lovers

3) This Isn’t The Place

4) Not Anymore

5) The Background Worl
