Linkin Park have premiered the lyric video for their new song ‘Battle Symphony’.

The second taster of Linkin Park’s upcoming album ‘One More Light’, just like lead single ‘Heavy’ the song sees the band continue to embrace their new pop direction with great gusto.

Echoing ‘Heavy’ which dealt with battling mental demons, the lyrics are highly potent and focus on picking yourself up in the face of adversity – “If I fall, get knocked down / Pick myself up off the ground / When they turn down the lights / I hear my battle symphony / All the world in front of me / If my armour breaks / I’ll fuse it back together.”

Speaking exclusively to Kerrang! Magazine earlier this month, Chester Bennington distanced Linkin Park from much of the inane pop music clogging up the charts saying ‘One More Light’ is cut from a very different cloth.

“I think the lyrical content is what provides the sustenance,” Chester says. “We want something nourishing, not something that’s like candy – like that song ‘Blue’ by Eiffel 65.

“Things can be poppy but still have a lot of substance. That’s what we shoot for.”

‘One More Light’ is released across the globe on Friday 19th May via Warner Bros.
