Huntington Beach heavy metallers Avenged Sevenfold have unveiled their cover of The Rolling Stones’ ‘As Tears Go By’.

Penned by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards and The Rolling Stones’ manager Andrew Loog Oldham, the song was first made famous by Marianne Faithful in 1964 with The Stones releasing their own version a year later.

Accompanying their cover version, Avenged Sevenfold have released a video melding studio footage with behind-the-scenes clips of the band on the road.

‘As Tears Go By’ is the sixth song Avenged Sevenfold have unveiled from their expanded digital version of The Stage.

The band kicked off proceedings with a version of the traditional Mexican folk song ‘Malagueña Salerosa’ in June before unveiling a cover of Mr. Bungle's ‘Retrovertigo’ three weeks later.

Original Avenged Sevenfold composition ‘Dose’ debuted in July, with a cover of Del Shannon’s ‘Runaway’ and The Beach Boys’ ‘God Only Knows’ following in August. A seventh and final song will be released in the coming weeks.
