Linkin Park have announced details of a very special concert in remembrance of Chester Bennington.

The one-off celebration concert will take place on Friday 27th October at Hollywood Bowl in California. It will be the first time the five members of Linkin Park have shared a stage together since Chester’s death on 20th July.

Mike Shinoda, Rob Bourdon, Brad Delson, Dave Farrell and Joe Hahn will be joined on stage by a variety of yet-to-be-announced guest artists.

On Twitter, Mike Shinoda acknowledged how the gig will be a communal opportunity to express some difficult emotions:

The band will donate their proceeds from the event to Music For Relief’s One More Light Fund in memory of Chester.

The ticket presale starts tomorrow (19th September) with general sale tickets following on Friday (22nd September). For more information head to linkinpark.com

In addition to the celebration concert, Linkin Park have premiered the highly poignant video to their album title track ‘One More Light’.

Originally not set to be a single, Linkin Park say the powerful connection with fans in the weeks following Bennington’s passing brought the track to the forefront.

Focussing on Chester and his close friendship with his band mates and everyone connected with Linkin Park, the poignant video was directed by Joe Hahn and longtime band videographer Mark Fiore.

“It has been incredibly emotional to work on this, and especially to watch it,” says Joe.

“I feel that by doing it, we not only faced some of our biggest fears, but it enabled us to use our talents to bring some light to people who need it.

“As we move forward to the Hollywood Bowl show and beyond, I think about the people who connect with the band, outside and inside our circle. This video is a gesture of good will to the people who want that connection.”

Mike Shinoda adds: “One More Light was written with the intention of sending love to those who lost someone. We now find ourselves on the receiving end.

“In memorial events, art, videos, and images, fans all over the world have gravitated towards this song as their declaration of love and support for the band and the memory of our dear friend, Chester. We are so very grateful and can’t wait to see you again.”
