Liam Gallagher: 'Mumford & Sons Look Like They've Got Nits'

He lambasts the indie-folk outfit

Liam Gallagher has stuck the boot into Mumford & Sons saying the band “look like they’ve got f*ing nits.”**

Clearly not keen on the ‘I Will Wait’ singers, Liam also accused them of being lentil soup eaters who have “no style”.

The 40-year-old told Q Magazine: Everyone looks like they've got fucking nits and eat lentil soup with their sleeves rolled up. They all look like they live on the heath. Maybe that's where they record.”

Continuing his verbal onslaught, he added: "Everyone's fucking Don McLean — far too many acoustic guitars, no style.

"They look like they shop at Oxfam. I wouldn't put any posters up of any band if I was a 16-year-old lad. There's none of that sitting down on fucking stools for me, sweetheart."

Beady Eye are currently holed up in the studio working on their second album with TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek.

Liam has described the material as “majestic, imperial, out there and heavy.”
