Korn have announced details of their fervently awaited 12th studio album 'The Serenity Of Suffering'! YES!

The nu-metal heroes will unleash the album on 21st October via Roadrunner Records – their former label home that previously released 2010’s 'KORN III – Remember Who You Are' and 2011’s 'The Path of Totality'.

Boasting an appearance from Slipknot’s Corey Taylor, the record was produced by the acclaimed studio wizard Nick Raskulinecz who counts Foo Fighters, Deftones and Mastodon among his production credits.

The record comes complete with an incredible cover created by acclaimed artist Ron English. It depicts a teenage Korn fan at a dystopian acid-nightmare funfair who is clutching a disembowelled and skeletal version of the doll who adorned 1999’s ‘Issues’.

Coinciding with the album news, Korn have also premiered the gloriously gothic and macabre video to the lead single ‘Rotting In Vain.’

The phenomenal video was directed by acclaimed album artwork artist and video director Dean Karr (Iron Maiden, Queens of the Stone Age, Marilyn Manson) and stars Glaswegian actor Tommy Flanagan (Braveheart, Sons of Anarchy, Gladiator).

Jonathan Davis says of the track: "'Rotting in Vain’ was written about being in that black place, being in situations that I don’t like in life, be it relationships or feeling when you’re stuck and you’re just being abused or you don’t like where you’re at, and you just sit there and rot.

“It takes you years and years to figure out how to claw your way out. That’s where ‘Rotting in Vain’ came from. That’s the vibe that inspired the song.”

Korn are currently on the Return of the Dreads Tour in North America, which they’re co-headlining with Rob Zombie. Featuring special guests In This Moment, the tour continues throughout the summer until 3rd September.

In late September, the relentless workaholics will then co-headline the Nocturnal Underground arena with Breaking Benjamin and support act Motionless In White.

There are no UK dates in the pipeline yet.
