Kings Of Leon: "Pop Music Is Making The World A Bad Place"

They hit out at today's pop performers

Kings Of Leon have launched a tirade against contemporary pop music calling it “f*ing awful” and accusing it of “making the world a bad place.” **

Although the Tennessee rockers didn’t name any names, it seems their diatribe to the Sydney Morning Herald was directed at sexualised performances by the likes of Miley Cyrus.

Guitarist Matthew Followill told the Australian newspaper: "Some pop shows I watch, it feels like the end of the world, it's f***ing awful.

"It's not even music any more. You would never want your children to watch (shows like that) and I can't believe that younger kids, even teenagers are watching that stuff. It almost seems to be making the world a bad place."

His cousin Jared chipped in: “(Pop shows) make me cringe. I can't watch that stuff. Not even just because they're taking their clothes off it's the whole thing, the dance moves, it's not good."

Kings of Leon’s sixth studio album hit number one on the UK charts back in September.
