44 years since the release of 'Tommy' we shine the Spotlight on the rock institution

Published 17th May 2013

Following in the hallowed footsteps of rock veteran legends Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden and The Rolling Stones, this week we shine the Kerrang! Radio Spotlight on yet another British rock institution – The Who!

Our five-day musical celebration of Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend and co. comes 44 years to the week that they released their defining rock opera ‘Tommy’ and also nicely precedes their Quadrophenia Tour which kicks off next month.

From ‘Pinball Wizard’ to ‘My Generation’, ‘Baba O’Reilly’ to ‘Substitute’, all this week we’ll be dipping into The Who’s rich back-catalogue and asking you to share your thoughts and memories on the band.
