Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry is in a stable condition in hospital after taking ill at a Hollywood Vampires show in Brooklyn last night (10th July).

Midway through the band’s second song ‘I Got a Line on You’ at the Ford Amphitheater, a visibly unwell Joe sat down on the drum platform while struggling to play before getting up and staggering off the stage.

Emergency services were called to the venue at 9.40pm and after receiving treatment from medics Joe was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

The band continued the rest of the show with Alice Cooper telling the crowd: "If you notice one of our brothers (Joe Perry) is not onstage with us, he was very sick before the show."

Soon afterwards, Alice posted on Twitter that Joe is “stable right now, with family & is under the best care.”

A separate post on the official Joe Perry and Hollywood Vampires Twitter pages echoed Alice’s health update, while Joe’s publicist also released a statement, saying: "Joe Perry is doing well and resting and appreciates all your good wishes."

Hollywood Vampires drummer Matt Sorum posted a photo on Instagram along with the caption: “I love you @joeperryofficial please feel better my brother #hollywoodvampires #beautifulhumanbeing #nationaltreasure #legend #friend #bandmate.”
