Jack Black is NOT dead
Tenacious D Twitter hack leaves fans worried
There have been so many notable celebrity deaths over the last few months that our jaws dropped when the official Tenacious D account tweeted the news that Jack Black had passed away. However we were relieved to find out that actually this was just a cruel hoax and the rocker/actor was indeed alive and well.
The confusion began when the official Twitter account posted 'I'm sad to officially announce the death of Jack Black at the age of 46, rest in peace brother.'
They then followed with two more tweets but fans became suspicious when nothing was then posted on the official Facebook page.
Despite many believing the news might be true and that we'd lost another legend, a couple of hours later it was revealed the account had been taken over by hacker Ruthless. The tweet revealing the poor taste prank said 'The legend is still alive, it is ok guys.'
The hacker then even had the cheek to ask for a follow, before then explaining how access could be retrieved.
