Iron Maiden unleash 'Legacy of the Beast' video game trailer
Eddie has a fight with Satan
Iron Maiden have unleashed a trailer for their eagerly-anticipated Legacy Of The Beast video game.
The free-to-play mobile role-playing game is being launched on iOS and Android this summer and centres on Maiden’s beloved mascot Eddie The Head.
Based on the iconic ‘Run To The Hills’ single artwork, the high adrenaline cinematic trailer sees Eddie battle with his old nemesis Lucifer.
The synopsis for the game reads: “A mysterious force is intent on destroying Eddie, shattering his soul into a million shards. He begins his journey blindsided and stripped of his power, yet still possessing just enough fury to fuel his fight.
“With each victory, he regains more power and strength, collecting the shards of his soul, supercharging his skills and electrifying his attitude!”
Vancouver-based Roadhouse Interactive are developing the game. Their CEO James Hursthouse comments: “As a lifelong fan, I have always thought that Maiden’s music, lyrics and cast of characters would provide the perfect basis for a deep RPG experience.
"With this game we’re creating an outstanding RPG that will appeal to all mobile gamers, including those discovering Maiden for the first time."
In other Maiden news, the band kicked off their Book of Souls World Tour in Florida, Oklahoma and Las Vegas last week and have been receiving rave reviews in the press.
They headline Download Festival on Sunday 12th June alongside Rammstein and Black Sabbath.
