Iron Maiden’s The Book of Souls World Tour poster has been banned in Lithuania for being too scary for children.

Just like The Book of Souls album cover, the impressive poster is the work of English illustrator Mark Wilkinson (Marillion, Judas Priest) and features a Mayan Eddie clutching his pulsating heart, which he has freshly carved from his chest.

The poster had been plastered on the streets of Lithuania ahead of the metal legends’ show at the Zalgirio Arena on 23rd June, however authorities have now stepped in to ban it.

Live Nation lawyer Mindaugas Paukštė told Lithuanian publication Delfi: “We received a letter that should stop advertising because it scares children – at the moment we think, how to behave, but, most likely, will have to remove the posters.”
