Guns N’ Roses’ Slash to broadcast zoo performance in virtual reality
The show is taking place next month
Guns N’ Roses guitarist and reptile collector, Slash, has announced a very special performance at a zoo.
Slash has been confirmed as the star performer at Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association's 2017 Beastly Ball on Saturday 20th where he’ll share the stage with special guests Jack Black, Grace Potter and Bernard Fowler.
As Billboard reports, fans of Slash will be able to able to view the show in virtual reality via Google Daydream or Samsung Gear VR headsets by downloading the NextVR app.
Slash, who is a board trustee at Greater Los Angeles Zoo, said: "I'm honoured and proud to be a part of the L.A. Zoo's 50th Anniversary Beastly Ball. It's going to be the biggest yet, and I'm really looking forward to jamming live with some good friends."
"With our friends at Live Nation and Next VR, we continue to push the boundaries in the music space to bring fans unprecedented access beyond attendance," said Citi's managing director for media, advertising and global Entertainment, Jennifer Breithaupt.
"With virtual reality, we can bring fans in for an unparalleled experience with their favourite artists and we couldn’t be more excited to kick off our concert series with Slash and friends."
Proceeds from the show will go to the Species Conservation Action Network. There will also be a live auction to raise money.
Guns N’ Roses play two nights at London Stadium on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th June. Standard tickets for the Saturday are on sale from Kerrang! Radio Tickets now.
