Guns n’ Roses have expressed their heartache after a fan lost his life and 29 others were injured in a bus crash en route to a Guns N’ Roses show in Mexico City.

The bus was travelling between Querétaro and the Mexico capital on Wednesday night (20th April) when it overturned on the wet motorway.

35-year-old Mauricio Ballesteros Zamora suffered head trauma and internal injuries and sadly died, while three other passengers are reportedly in a critical condition.

A further 26 suffered other injuries and are being treated at the IMSS hospital in Tepeji del Río de Ocampo.

In response to the devastating news, Guns N’ Roses posted this message on Twitter last night:

Guns N’ Roses performed two shows in Mexico City between their headline slots at Coachella Festival last weekend and this coming Saturday.

Last week, the band were joined on stage by Angus Young for covers of AC/DC’s ‘Whole Lotta Rosie’ and ‘Riff Raff’.

Hours later Axl was confirmed as the stand-in singer for AC/DC on their upcoming North American and European Rock or Bust shows including London Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and Manchester Etihad Stadium.
