Ghost cancelled their show in Milwaukee midway through last night (31st May) after a fan collapsed in the crowd.

The enigmatic Swedish metallers had just performed the first act of their sold-out show at the Riverside Theater when at around 9.15pm a man in the audience fell to the ground.

A concertgoer told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that emergency services were called and CPR was performed for a substantial amount of time in an attempt to revive him.

The audience were evacuated from the venue and at 9.45pm they were told that the show had been called due to a “terrible tragedy”.

Numerous fans posting on social media who were at the concert claim that the man sadly passed away, however this hasn’t been officially confirmed.

Ghost took to Twitter in the early hours of this morning to post the following: “Tonight, in Milwaukee there was a medical emergency with one of our fans.

“We decided not to continue out of respect to him and his family. Ghost and all who work with us ask that you please send the family your thoughts, prayers and respect their privacy during this time.”

The show took place on the eve of the release of Ghost’s new studio album ‘Prequelle’.
