With just seven weeks to go until the heaviest metal event on our humble isle kicks off, Bloodstock Festival has today added a fresh flurry of acts to the bill.

British post metallers Earthtone 9 have been given the prestigious honour of opening the main stage on Friday while Sacred Mother Tongue and Breed 77 join the action on the Sophie Lancaster Stage.

Meanwhile, Mitchell Emms, Ravenage, Mia Klose, Earls of Mars, Balls Deep, Cavorts, Betraeus, Andy James’s Guitar Clinic and Operation Error are all added to the Jagermeister Stage.

The new artists join an astonishing bill that boasts Slayer, Lamb of God, King Diamond, King Diamond, Anthrax, Devildriver, Gojira, Exodus, Avantasia, Voivod and many more.

Bloodstock Festival takes place at Catton Hall in Walton-upon-Trent from Thursday 8th to Sunday 11th August 2013.
