Former My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero will release his debut solo album later this summer.

Released under his poorly spelt moniker of FrnkIero And The Cellabration, the 12-track album is called ‘Stomachaches’ and lands via Staple Records on 26th August.

The news comes just five days after Frank’s ex-MCR bandmate Gerard Way unleashed his debut solo single ‘Action Cat’ ahead of his fervently anticipated Reading and Leeds shows.

Announcing his album, Frank wrote:

my new record announcement. dearest friends and acquaintances, hi, i would like to tell you all a little bit about my new record…. i am proud to say i have officially signed to Staple Records. and on August 26th 2014 along with my own imprint, B.CALM press, we will be releasing “Stomachaches.” by frnkiero and the cellabration. the new record will include 12 songs and clocks in around 40 or so minutes. all songs were written and performed by myself except for the drums on 9 of the songs, which were performed amazingly by my friend Jarrod Alexander. i’m really looking forward to sharing this record with all of you. these songs came from deep inside me and became my salvation at a certain point. and up until this august i will have kept the majority of them a secret from everyone. they were just mine, and now i am ready to give them up to all of you. i hope that you may enjoy them. xofrnk
