Frank Iero and his crew 'alive and in stable condition' following serious bus crash
They were unloading a van ahead of live performance
Former My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero and his crew have been involved in a serious bus crash in Sydney today (13th October).
Frank and his bandmates were unloading their van at Twitter HQ for a live performance on Park Street in the city when a bus crashed into their vehicle at around 4pm local time.
One man’s injuries were so severe he was airlifted to St Vincent’s Hospital and another was rushed by ambulance. Both are in a serious but stable condition.
A third received minor injuries and received treatment at the scene.
UPDATE: Frank has taken to Twitter to confirm to give fans an update, writing: "Hi friends thanks all for the well wishes. we're pretty banged up but miraculously alive& in stable condition. I'm still in a state of shock."
The bus driver has been taken in by police for mandatory tests. The vehicle was not carrying any passengers at the time of the incident.
Frank Iero and the Patience’s scheduled show at Syndey’s Metro Theatre has been cancelled and full refunds are available to ticketholders.
