Foo Fighters have announced two huge outdoor shows in Belfast and Dublin next summer.

Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Taylor Hawkins, Chris Shiflett and Rami Jaffee will play Belfast Vital at Boucher Road Playing Fields on Monday 19th August and Dublin’s RDS Arena on Wednesday 21st August.

Tickets to both gigs go on sale from Ticketmaster.ie at 10am this coming Friday (23rd November).

The Belfast date will be Foo Fighters’ first UK gig since they triumphed at Manchester Etihad Stadium and London Stadium back in June.

The Undisputed Nicest Guy in Rock™, Dave Grohl, hit the headlines last week when he visited Los Angeles County Fire Station 68 and personally cooked a barbecue for firefighters who were risking their lives battling the Woolsey Fire in southern California.

Expressing their gratitude in a post on Instagram, Fire Station 68 wrote: “It was awesome to get a visit tonight from Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters. He also treated us to some of his own Backbeat BBQ. Thanks Dave! It was excellent!”

Foo Fighters will also play the ‘I Am The Highway: A Tribute To Chris Cornell’ concert at the Los Angeles Forum in January alongside Metallica and members of Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog.
