The first trailer for the unflinching Kurt Cobain film ‘Montage of Heck’ has made its debut online.
Directed by Brett Morgan, ‘Montage of Heck’ was met with widespread critical acclaim when it premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival in January.
Eight years in the making and created in direct collaboration with the Nirvana legend’s family, the film contains never-seen-before footage from Kurt’s personal and family archives.
Alongside the home videos from his childhood and with Courtney Love and Frances Bean, the also film features previously unheard/unseen songs (including a 12-minute acoustic track), artwork, photography, journals, demos, and songbooks.
Heralded as “the most intimate rock documentary ever”, amongst those giving candid insights into Kurt’s life include his parents Wendy O’Connor and Don Cobain, former girlfriend Tracy Marander, his band mate and friend Krist Novoselic, and Courtney Love.
‘Montage of Heck’ hits select UK cinemas on 10th April 2015.
An accompanying book is also being released containing animation stills and photography from Cobain’s archives.
