LISTEN: Fall Out Boy release previously unheard demo via fan treasure hunt in London
Ahead of their sold-out show at London’s The O2 on Saturday night (31st March), Fall Out Boy sent their fans on a treasure hunt.
The pop punk heroes took to Twitter shortly after 3pm to post a video of a hooded Pete Wentz hiding a t-shirt under a traffic cone in the Shoreditch area of London.
They captioned it: “London - left a special surprise for you, even if you can’t make the show tonight.”
After the initial post on Twitter, they hid a further two t-shirts in locations around London’s The O2 after hinting at the locations via Instagram stories.
Those quick enough to grab the T-shirts had an extra surprise when they discovered an unmarked USB stick hidden inside the garments.
One of the lucky fans, Edith Gervin, later posted the contents of the USB stick to YouTube – a stunning piano version of penultimate ‘M A N I A’ track ‘Young and Menace’ by Patrick Stump.
