Faith No More’s Mike Patton joins Dave Lombardo’s band Dead Cross
They're releasing an album in 2017
No stranger to side-projects and collaborations, Faith No More’s Mike Patton has joined the Southern California group Dead Cross as the new lead vocalist.
Formed last year, the band boasts Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies, Misfits), Justin Pearson (The Locust, Retox, Head Wound City) and Michael Crain (Retox, Festival of Dead Deer).
Mike replaces the outgoing singer Gabe Serbian (The Locust, Cattle Decapitation, Holy Molar) and the band are currently working hard on their debut album, which they will release via Mike’s own imprint Ipecac Recordings in 2017.
A true workaholic, after releasing Faith No More’s seventh album Sol Invictus in 2015, Mike released an album with indie-rock side-project Nevermen at the start of this year.
Dead Cross sees him unite with Dave Lombardo once again, having worked with him for a number of years as part of avant-garde metal supergroup Fantômas.
