Ex-Bring Me The Horizon guitarist Curtis Ward joins Counting Days

He "jumped at the chance" of joining

Former Bring Me The Horizon guitarist Curtis Ward has joined metalcore collective Counting Days.

Ward was a member of BMTH since around their inception in 2004 and contributed to their first two albums ‘Count Your Blessings’ and ‘Suicide Season’ before quitting the group in 2008.

Clearly pumped to be joining Counting Days, Ward enthused: “My friend told me to check out the new album a few months ago and was really in to it. The band mixes my favourite parts of metal and hardcore and use them to create an awesome sound.

“I’ve been trying to make own band for a while now and have been struggling to find people who can commit the time. So when Charlie asked me if I’d like to try out for Counting Days I jumped at the chance.

“The songs are real fun to play and I can’t wait to perform them live. Plus we have been writing new songs together already!”

Ward is joining Counting Days permanently after standing in for the departing Bobby Daniels on the Crossfaith and Hacktivist tour.

The supergroup of sorts also features former TRC stars Charlie Wilson on guitars and Lasselle Lewis on drums, ex-Heights member Thomas Debaere on guitars and Alex Dench (Rough Hands) on bass.

Counting Days will support Architects at their sold out album release shows at the Concorde 2 in Brighton on 27th to 28th May and they’ll perform on the fourth stage at Download Festival on Friday 10th June.
