Download Festival will be Aerosmith's final ever UK show
It's going to be emotional
After 45 glorious years together, Aerosmith have today announced full details of their farewell European tour.
Titled the Aero-Vederci Baby Tour, the lengthy run of shows include their previously confirmed appearance at Download Festival on Sunday 11th June – in what will be their only UK show.
The swansong tour also takes in arenas, stadiums and festivals in Israel, Georgia, Russia, Germany, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland throughout May, June and July 2017.
Steven Tyler and Joe Perry announced the tour via this (quite literally) bananas video:
Joe Perry says: “It’s been 3 years since we have been on tour in Europe and I can speak for my brothers that we can’t wait to get over there and take it up a few notches. Last tour in South America we were running on all cylinders and I can see no reason to let up now."
Steven Tyler adds: "Aerosmith just got done ripping through South America like true ambassadors of rock...The band is unstoppable right now and in Europe, we're going to keep doing what we do best... Let The Music Do The Talking...Living On The Edge, and living to rock another day."
Tickets to Download Festival are on sale via Kerrang! Radio Tickets now.
