Download Festival launches T-shirt raising money for the NHS
100% of proceeds are going to NHS charities
Download Festival has launched an ultra-limited-edition T-shirt to support the NHS in the fight against coronavirus (COVID-19).
Limited to just 500 units, the T-shirt is available to buy for £20 from the official Download Festival merchandise store right now with 100% of proceeds going directly to NHS Charities Together, who will distribute the money to 143 different NHS charities.
The front of the T-shirt features the iconic Download Dog with the phrase ‘Wash Your Barking Hands’, while the band includes the Download 2020 logo and the words ‘Supporting The NHS and Emergency Service Workers.’
You can order the T-shirt while stocks last right here.
On top of the NHS T-shirt, the merch store also features a variety of Download Festival 2020 merchandise that was due to go on sale at the festival that sadly never was.
Download Festival 2020 was officially cancelled last Thursday (26th March) due to the coronavirus with organisers saying they were “beyond disappointed” to make the decision. The event was due to be headlined by KISS, Iron Maiden and System of a Down.
Fortunately, it’s been confirmed that Download Festival 2021 will take place from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th June next year.
Explaining why it’s happening a week earlier than usual, Download Festival booker Andy Copping wrote on Twitter: “It's been a tough week! The D'load team have been amazing. We're all gutted regarding the cancellation this year. Next year we'll be back 4, 5 & 6 Jun '21. We're a week earlier because we're helping out some of our European friends who have to move their events.”
Roll on Download Festival 2021!
