43 acts have been added to the already incredible Download Festival 2019 line-up today (28th January).
Set to grace Donington Park on the weekend of Friday 14th to Sunday 16th June 2019 are Halestorm, Clutch, Stone Temple Pilots, FEVER 333, Behemoth, Bad Wolves, Palaye Royale, Deadland Ritual, Last In Line, Skid Row, Municipal Waste, At The Gates, and Beartooth,
Completing this wave of additions are Aaron Buchanan & The Cult Classics, Alcest, Animals as Leaders, Batushka, Black Peaks, Brothers Osborne, Cane Hill, coldrain, Conjurer, Crystal Lake, Godsmack, GroundCulture, Heart of a Coward, Icon For Hire, Intervals, Like A Storm, Lost In Stereo, Love Bites, Ne Obliviscaris, Parting Gift, Redhook, Skynd, Sumo Cyco, Three Days Grace, Those Damn Crows, Toska, Trash Boat, Twelve Foot Ninja, Vega and Wolf Jaw.
We’re also extremely excited to announce that, as the home of new music, Kerrang! Radio have launched a talent search for a chance to open the Avalanche Stage at Download Festival!
Your band could be opening up one of the major stages at the world's premiere rock festival, on the hallowed turf of Donington Park.
Today’s new line-up additions join headliners Def Leppard, Slipknot and Tool, plus acts including Whitesnake, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, Rob Zombie, Skindred, Slayer, Blackberry Smoke, Anthrax and Dream Theater.
Download Festival takes place at Donington Park in Leicestershire from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th June 2019. Weekend and RIP tickets are on sale from Kerrang! Radio Tickets now.

Having made "secret" mid-afternoon appearance on the second stage with no soundcheck the previous year, the behemoth that is Metallica took its rightful place at the head of the table. Despite Lars Ulrich being rushed to hospital minutes beforehand, Metallica ploughed on with their set with Slayer's Dave Lombardo, Slipknot's Joey Jordison and their drum technician, Flemming Larsen, filling in for Lars.

So overjoyed was he at Feeder's reception from the crowd, the band's singer-guitarist Grant Nicholls smashed his Fender Jazzmaster. We hate to think what he'd have done if it had gone badly.
