Relive Download Festival 2019

Despite hysterical and ill-founded tabloid reports beforehand that a bit of rain had turned the sacrosanct turf of Donington Park into something resembling apocalypse, Download Festival 2019 turned out to be another vintage year for the rock and metal extravaganza. In fact, it was one of the best years ever!

Featuring stellar headline performances from Def Leppard, Slipknot and Tool, it boasted epic sets from every corner of rock music and beyond – from electronicore bastions Enter Shikari tearing up The Avalanche Stage hosted by Kerrang! Radio, to Die Antwoord injecting a bit of South African hip-hop into proceedings, to the classic rock sounds of Whitesnake, to the Viking metal of Amon Amarth, and the musical blitzkrieg that was Slipknot’s Main Stage triumph. It really had something for everyone.
