Download Festival organisers have added 17 acts to next summer’s rock extravaganza.
Heading to the sacrosanct turf Donington Park in June are Marilyn Manson, Parkway Drive, Bullet For My Valentine, Rise Against, Babymetal, Alexisonfire, Black Veil Brides, Asking Alexandria and Neck Deep.
Completing this wave of additions are Meshuggah, In This Moment, The Hives, Body Count, Mayday Parade, Dream State, WSTR and The Pink Slips.
The newly confirmed artists join Friday night bill-toppers Avenged Sevenfold, Saturday headliners Guns N’ Roses and Ozzy Osbourne who will bring the festival to an emphatic close.
Waxing lyrical about Asking Alexandria’s slot, guitarist Ben Bruce says: “We have been waiting for half a decade to say this again, ‘DOWNLOAD WE ARE COMING FOR YA!’.
“Download festival is hands down one of the most exciting festivals in the world to play and so we have decided to bring our biggest show to date over with us. We cannot wait to see you all there. In the words of this year’s legendary headliner, Mama I’m coming home”
Babymetal said: “We are so happy to announce that we will be playing at Download UK!! We were last there in 2016 and it is an absolute honour to be returning to this prestigious festival next year. Can’t wait to go back and see everyone there!”
Download Festival takes place from Friday 8th to 10th June 2018. Tickets are on sale from Kerrang! Radio Tickets right now.
