Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has helped a terminally ill fan achieve his bucket list wish.

Ken Powell, who has been diagnosed with an incurable form of cancer, almost got his wish to meet Grohl when the band recently toured Australia.

However the musician was forced to cancel all of his meet-and-greets due to a bout of food poisoning.

Coincidentally, Ken’s friend – a Qantas flight attendant – was looking after the Foo Fighters on their return flight from the tour, and told them about the story.

The band was touched and Grohl, known as ‘The Nicest Guy In Rock’ offered his support through a photo greeting for Powell, as well as passing on souvenirs, including a signed autograph and VIP tickets to an LA Foo Fighters gig.

Ken’s daughter set up a to raise vital funds to get her father to the concert and make his dream come true.

Visit his GoFundMe page to donate to the cause.

The Foo Fighters will tour the UK this summer, playing gigs in Edinburgh, London, Manchester and Sunderland.
