Dave Grohl gifts his own shoe to Foo Fighters fan on crutches
What a lovely man
The Nicest Guy In Rock™, Dave Grohl, helped out a fan on crutches at a Foo Fighters show in Washington D.C. on Thursday night (12th October).
Posing for photos with fans before Foo Fighters’ gig at music venue The Anthem, Dave brought out his orthopaedic doctor after he noticed one fan was on crutches.
Sharing photos of the encounter on Twitter, the fan, called Sabryn, said that when the doctor told her she needed to wear a shoe to help with the healing process, Dave stepped in to personally gift his own shoe.
Speaking to Alternative Press, Sabryn said: “Dave brought him (the doctor) out once he saw that I was on crutches, and that’s when his doctor mentioned that I was supposed to wear a shoe with my brace.
“I told him that my shoes didn’t fit over it because it’s pretty big and my shoes are kinda small. So Dave said, ‘You need one of my big high tops!’ and I laughed it off.”
“I wore it for the rest of the night after Dave told me to put it on. It’s definitely one of the coolest things to ever happen, and probably the funniest.”
Dave, of course, broke his leg in an on stage fall in Gothenberg, Sweden in June 2015 and famously returned to the stage to perform the rest of the show.
